Hey all,
As I slowly start to get more and more involved with social media (I've been accused— and not necesarily without merit— of being a bit behind the times due to my having an older machine for so long. Even though I have a new Laptop and a smart phone, I still tend to use the tried and true old Dell of yesteryear), one thing continues to be up to date for me; New York Comic Con!
I'll be attending for the first time as a professional, but while I'll be doing my best to make contacts with fellow writers and hopefully getting a few art pieces done of my characters, this is as much a vacation as anything else. I'm gonna try to get some pictures while I'm at the show. If anyone's coming, wing me a note and I'll try to get in contact with you on Wednesday when I head down (I always hit the hotel a day early and leave the day after the show ends) so we can possibly meet up and take in the sights!
I'm also curious to see what they'll be doing with this 'book con' thing. I suspect in the next year or two, NYCC may expand to five days if it merges completely with Book Con the way it did with New York Anime Fest. if so, I hope I can survive it!
Hope to see some of you there!

Creating my own TTRPG
Hey guys! So, I have no clue how many people who follow or watch me know me form Discord or anything, but for those who do, I think you're probably as aware as I am of the absolute CLUSTERFUCK that was Wizards of the Coast's whole thing with the OGL. And might know of the Pinkerton stuff too. So like a LOT of folks, I decided to test out the other major d20 based system: Pathfinder second edition. First off, I am mostly playing on Discord via Play By Post and I'm enjoying learning the game as I go. I have a bunch of the books, but having dedicated GMs to help me is great too. So much so that I've decided that once my book is complete, I'm going to see about translating it into a Tabletop game as well! I would love to hera from fellow tabletop ROG players who have decided to do the same if there are any here on DA. I don't happen to be great shakes at math— though I think I have a workaround for that— but the lore should be easy enough to work with. I plan to put out the game
Trades-- My writing for your art?
Hey all.
As we all know, I can't draw worth a DAMN. But I am a writer. And sadly, I am stuck on a fixed income due to disabilities I was born with.
So since money is often not something I can offer as much as I would like to— I'm not saying never, just that it's not as easy for me, but when I have extra to spare, I'm always looking for decent prices on artwork commissions— I am looking to do trades of writing for art, if anyone is interested.
Info on what I do writing-wise can be found here.
Be aware, these may not be done instantly. I am doing a writing commission already and am also working on my own original stories. Just
In a bit of a bind.
Hey all.
I know this is a horrible time to have to ask for help, but I'm kinda in dire straits. I am on a fixed income, which is why I take writing commissions— one of which is still in the process of being done, so don't worry, I haven't forgotten!— but I am seriously in dire straits financially, as I have to handle my rent and pay down the tech support and protection plan for my laptop, which renews every year in January so long as I keep it paid up.
Luckily, I am in no danger for rent. That's thankfully never been an issue. However my laptop has been having issues and I need to make sure I have money to pay for that re
A head's up to all writers
I had to share this. I put this up a few days back. It is very relevant to any and all authors here on DA or just in general. I felt that I needed to do as much as possible to get the word out. Please pass it along if you can. #Cockygate
